Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 and was raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney took dance classes as a kid and was an excellent gymnast, winning many competitions. Britney loves to sing, but most importantly, she enjoyed dancing classes. Britney tried to audition for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of eight. The show was not accepted because of her age. This directed her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the lead character. When she was 11 years old, she was back on stage to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). The second time, she played an actor in the show along with other popular stars from today, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. Her big break, however, was when she was signed an artist with Jive Records in the latter part of the 90s. Britney was an enormous hit following the release of her debut album "...Baby another time" in 1999. She also sold over 13 million copies (as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it Again" which came out in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has a big brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney is a child of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to become a star. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) at the age of was eight. But, she was not old enough to be considered a suitable candidate. Britney and her baby sister Britney, moved to New York, where she performed in a number of TV commercials and an off Broadway production called "Ruthless" which was directed by the direction by Natalie Portman. The passion for dance and music took over and two years after that, she was auditioning for part in "Mickey Mouse" again, and this time, was selected for the part along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
