Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born August 26, 2002) also known as Lil Tecca, is an American musician and rapper. The release of "Ransom," his 2019 single, helped him become a popular star. His mixtape debut"We Love You Tecca (2019) included the hit single. It peaked at 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also featured the singles Love Me and Did It Again. His debut studio album called Virgo World (2020), debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100 charting songs "Dolly" as well as "When You Down". The second mixtape "We Love You Tecca 2" came out in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It" as well as "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was the child of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26 2002 in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was born in Queens in Springfield Gardens. However, Sharpe moved later to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe was always hoping to join the NBA in his youth, but at the age of 12 Sharpe made the decision to pursue a profession in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. When Tecca was just nine years old, he responded to his musical passion by rapping along with his friends using his Xbox. They would occasionally make a mockery of each other. One was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but it was removed. In the beginning that he wasn't making any intentions of pursuing music a profession and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA star. However, during his middle school years, he lost interest in basketball and was contemplating taking music more seriously. His first track to gain some recognition, "Tectri", was composed by him and his friend, Lil Gummybear, and came out in early 2017. The artist also released "Callin" in the same year, which was one of his first songs. Just a year later his career was beginning to take off by releasing his smash single "Ransom" and was released on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 the 22nd of May, 2019. The song reached the top spot at 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has received over 900 million plays on Spotify and over 300 million views on YouTube.
