Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in major-screen comedy films like 'Elf "Anchorman" and Talladega Nights. In 1967, in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell started his career in comedy when he was part of the improv group from Los Angeles known as the Groundlings. Following his acclaimed seven-year run as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, he became one of the film industry's most popular comedic performers through off-color movies like Old School (2003) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell was also a co-founder of the video streaming site Funny or Die and enjoyed great success in voice acting in animated films like Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16th 1967. Will Ferrell was the youngest son of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell as well as instructor Kay Ferrell. He was admittedly, not exactly the class clown when he was a University High School student. The quiet and studious Ferrell chose to make his mark on the field of football and set the school record for the most field goals made. Ferrell was a more relaxed person at home in the suburbs and didn't show the same kind of outrageous or humorous flashes that would later define his career. In an interview with Esquire his mother stated Ferrell was "very gentle, and very calm." "You're familiar with the Matchbox cars?" Will put together his Matchbox cars all by himself and be content. It would be a simple question "Do you want to go to Disneyland today?" or "You want your cars lined up?" and he'd have to think about it. Ferrell wasn't exactly a straight-laced man. The hints of his comic talents was seen every morning at high school, when Ferrell disguised his voice in order to announce his daily activities on the PA system. After graduation in 1986 Ferrell was a student at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, where he was a member of the Delta Tau fraternity and pursued a degree in sports journalism.
