Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
band, was founded in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow
and Logan Henderson. The group initially signed with Nick Records in 2009
before moving to Columbia Records. The group was a part of Nickelodeon's
television series of the same name, Big Time Rush. The show aired from the
beginning of November 28th, 2009 to July 25 2013. The pilot episode featured
the group's first promotional single, "Big Time Rush". The group
recorded three albums, BTR in 2010, Elevate , and 24/Seven in 2013. The band in
2014 took a break that lasted up to 2021. They resumed live performances in the
studio, and then released "Call It Like It Sees It". Nickelodeon has
signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 concurrently with the tv show,
Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to
produce the show and add original music for the show. For the show, their debut
single, "Big Time Rush" was released on November 29th in 2009.
Officially released on Nickelodeon and first aired in the U.S. November 2009
and it was then broadcast globally. The series premiered on a one-hour special
trailer for the show and is currently the show's theme for opening. The show
also saw releases of promotional singles including "City is Ours" and
"Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush performed "Famous" by
Play. The song was first released to iTunes on June 29 in 2010. Another track,
"Halfway There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010, after its
premiere in the series. The band soon became their first charting song on the
Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked at 93 thanks to the digital sales. On
September 21 on the 21st of September in 2010, Big Time Rush released second
single "Till I Forget About You", to promote the debut album's
release. The album, which is titled BTR it was launched on the 11th of October
in 2010. The album debuted at the top of the charts, number 3 on the Billboard
200, selling 67,000 copies within the initial week of release.
