Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also called Emma was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She is the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a homemaker, and Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and CEO). She is of Swedish, German and British Isles descent. Stone started acting as a child at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she staged her first performance in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. As she grew older, Stone was in a variety of other shows until she made acting her career. The official narrative is that she made a PowerPoint presentation, backed up by Madonna's "Hollywood" and itself entitled "Project Hollywood", in attempt to persuade her parents to allow her to drop out of school and relocate to Los Angeles. The presentation was successful, and she and her mom relocated to LA after completing her education at home. There she would spend the day auditioning. She made her TV debut in 2004 when she was cast in the role of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent show In Search of the Partridge Family. The show brought her a host of minor TV parts in the years following. Her first film role was Jules in Superbad (2007) and, after a string of successful performances, her leading part in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a rising star. She was a student at Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. While she is famous for being a redhead, her real hair color is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color for Superbad (2007) and she was so impressed that she decided to keep the color. At the age of 15 she convinced her parents that she could make the move to Hollywood. She achieved this by creating an PowerPoint presentation called Project Hollywood. At 11 years old she began her acting career in the Valley Youth Theatre, Phoenix, AZ. There, she starred in 16 stage productions and performed in the comedy troupe of improv. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at the Valley Youth Theatre.
